1. Who we are and what this covers
Webinars.to ("Webinars.to", "we", "us") runs the Webinars.to website, studio, hosting and portal. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. It applies to visitors, people who contact us or join a list, and customers.
For your own account and our relationship with you, we are the controller. For the people who register for, watch or buy from a webinar a customer hosts on Webinars.to, that customer is the controller and we process the data for them (see Webinar audiences).
2. What we collect
- Account details. Your email address, used for one-time sign-in codes. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and nothing else from your Google account.
- Profile and plan. Your display name, plan, purchases, subscription status and settings.
- Payments. What you bought, the amount, the date and the status of the payment or subscription. You enter card details on our payment processor's secure checkout; Webinars.to never sees or stores your full card number.
- Forms and messages. What you send through our forms or by email: your name, email, webinar topic, preferred date, expected audience and what you ask us.
- Your studio content. The material you give the studio (website addresses, documents, scripts, images, recordings, voice samples, likeness consent records) and the webinars and ads produced from it.
- Campaign source. Referral codes, campaign tags (UTM parameters) and ad click IDs (such as gclid or fbclid) from the link that brought you, and the page you first arrived on.
- Technical data. IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and timestamps, collected by our hosting and security providers to deliver the site, prevent abuse and fix problems.
3. How we use it
- To create and secure your account, sign you in and show you your plan.
- To take payment, deliver what you bought, renew or cancel subscriptions and keep billing and tax records.
- To run the studio and hosting: generate, render, store and stream your webinars and ads.
- To answer requests, send reminders you asked for and provide support.
- To send service messages (sign-in codes, receipts, renewal and policy notices) and, where allowed, updates about Webinars.to. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To credit partners for referrals and understand which campaigns bring customers.
- To protect the Service, prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. Legal bases (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on: contract to run your account and deliver your plan; legitimate interests to secure the Service, prevent abuse, understand our campaigns and send updates to customers about similar products; consent where the law requires it, such as for certain marketing and advertising cookies, which you can withdraw at any time; and legal obligation for billing, tax and record keeping.
5. AI processing of your content
- When you use the studio, the material and instructions you provide are sent to the AI providers listed below to write scripts, plan scenes and produce presenter video, voice and visuals.
- We use these providers through their business APIs, under terms that limit their use of your content to providing the service to us. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.
- A presenter or voice based on a real person is created only with that person's consent, and the consent record is kept with the project.
8. Webinar audiences
When someone registers for, watches or buys from a webinar hosted on Webinars.to, the customer who published that webinar is the controller of that person's data. Webinars.to processes it on the customer's behalf and instructions, to run registration, the webinar, reminders, results and checkout. If you registered for a customer's webinar and want to access or delete your data, contact that customer; we help them respond, and you can also write to us at privacy@webinars.to.
9. How long we keep it
- Account and studio content: while your account is open. When you close it, we delete your studio content within 30 days, apart from backups, which expire on their regular cycle within 90 days.
- Billing and tax records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually up to 7 years.
- Leads and list sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them, and then only a suppression record so we honour your choice.
- Security logs: for a limited period, typically up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate abuse.
10. How we protect it
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls that limit data to the people and systems that need it, database rules that keep each account's data separate, passwordless sign-in and bot protection on our forms. Payment card data is handled by our payment processor, which is certified to the PCI DSS standard. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
11. International transfers
Webinars.tois run from the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK addendum, or the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy in a portable format;
- correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your data;
- object to or restrict certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- opt out of marketing emails at any time, using the unsubscribe link or by writing to us;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, write to privacy@webinars.to. We may ask you to confirm the request comes from you, and we answer within the time the law allows (usually 30 days in the EEA and UK, 45 days in US states with privacy laws). We will not treat you differently for using these rights. An authorised agent may make a request for you with your signed permission.
13. California and other US state notice
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, IP address); commercial information (plans bought, payment status); internet activity (pages visited, campaign source); audio, visual and similar information (recordings, images and voice samples you upload); and inferences about the campaigns that brought you. We collect them from you, your device, sign-in providers you choose and partners who refer you, for the purposes in "How we use it", and disclose them to the service providers in "Who we share it with".
We do not sell personal information. When Meta ad measurement is enabled, sending ad events to Meta may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. You can opt out of that sharing by writing to privacy@webinars.towith the subject "Do not share". We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
14. Children
Webinars.to is a business service for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to privacy@webinars.to and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this policy
We update this policy as the Service changes and show the effective date at the top. For material changes, we email account holders before they take effect.
16. Contact
Privacy questions and requests: privacy@webinars.to. Everything else: hello@webinars.to.
